We are still in need of holiday auction items or whole baskets. We will also accept any singular items that we can create a basket with. This auction will not only provide stuffed animals for children who have suffered trauma due to illness, accident, abuse and neglect but also donate funds to DIPG research.
We have had 2 donations so far from the Bend Soap company and we received a 50% discount from BroBaskets.
As always, if you are reading this and know of a child that needs a little extra comfort while they fight their fight, please have them reach out to us. We insist on the confidentiality of those who we donate to. If you know them and have their permission to give us that information that is OK, but we do prefer that the parent, guardian, caregiver reach out to us.
We never post pictures of children on our page, our website, or any post that Annabelle’s Dolls of Love does without the express permission of the parent or if the parent chooses to post. We never ask for that permission. We believe that the children we send our stuffed animals and dolls to, nor their parent/guardian or caregiver, should ever feel obligated to share anything with us they are not comfortable with doing. I know a lot of people say, “how do you expect to have publicity if you don’t”. Well, the answer to that is quite simple. We do not expect or look for accolades. We only wish to bring a little joy, a little smile, and something of comfort to a child who is struggling. We aren’t looking to be huge, others are more suited for that kind of thing. We only look to have what we need, when we need it. So far, God has always made a way and has provided what we need, exactly when we need it.
We rely simply on word of mouth. One parent tells another who tells another. People will share the page. We email organizations who we would like to donate to. We will share those donations or share that we are sending stuffed animals out, but the children will never be exploited or used for the growth of our non-profit or as a pat on the back to anyone who is involved with this non-profit.
We are told, “do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing” and we live by that when it comes to the children.
Thank you all for your support.
